StarTeam 12.0 and Tasktop Sync in action

StarTeam 12.0 introduced the Borland Connector for Tasktop, thus opening up ALM interoperability across a myriad of development tools. Apart from providing a great integration between the Eclipse and Visual Studio IDE's to the StarTeam server, the Tasktop connector also provides a server side synchronization capability, to any other Tasktop certified ALM repository, called Tasktop Sync. StarTeam users wishing to streamline their ALM environment are encouraged to make the effort to learn more about the possibilities opened up with the latest release.

Tasktop Sync provides real-time (under 1 second) synchronization, automated conflict resolution, and support for over two dozen ALM tools. One of the key advantages in using a technology like Tasktop Sync for ALM synchronization is it's ability to de-risk your Agile initiatives or ALM modernization strategy. With so many 3rd party ALM tools certified to work with Tasktop Sync, StarTeam 12.0 really makes good on our promise of openness by enabling customers to continue to leverage existing investments.

The combination of StarTeam and Tasktop Sync provides users with a powerful means
to achieve a unified ALM environment for software delivery. Gaining cross tool visibility and reporting for the entire development process from requirements to testing to source code just got a whole lot easier.

Check out the video link below to see an example of StarTeam 12.0 and HP Quality
Center working in tandem using Tasktop Sync to keep defects synchronized in real time.
