What is the difference between "diff against backed" vs "diff against b

PROBLEM/ABSTRACT:
What is the difference between "diff against backed" vs "diff against basis" when performing a diff operation?

SOLUTION:
When you perform a "diff against backed", you are comparing the version which you are currently looking at with the version currently in the backing stream.

When you perform a "diff against basis", you are comparing the version which you are currently looking at with the version that you started working with, before making your recent changes.
