QUESTION:
How do you collect task_list output?

ANSWER:
The output from task_list tells you what tasks are in progress at any point in time. Often it may not be performance, but rather hangs or the appearanc that AccuRev may be hanging. Sometimes command operations are hanging, but users might think its performance. The task_list output is a good source to find a cause and rule out hangs from performance issues.

To run this, Create an xml file tasklist.xml with the following contents:

<tasklist> </tasklist>

Then run the command:
accurev xml -l tasklist.xml > tasklist.out

When you run this command, tasklist.out will contain tasklist output such as the following example:

<tasklist>
<task>
<task_id>4977</task_id>
<task_name>end</task_name>
<user>james</user>
<host>192.168.1.107</host>
<status>2</status>
</task>
<task>
<task_id>5150</task_id>
<task_name>xml</task_name>
<user>james</user>
<host>192.168.1.107</host>
<status>1</status>
</task>
</tasklist>
