VMWare clients out of sync with the server

"PROBLEM/ABSTRACT:
User runs AccuRev on a VMWare Linux VM hosted on a Windows machine.
During the build, system time slips badly and AccuRev operations fail as a consequence. Is there anyway to get AccuRev to work in this environment?


SOLUTION:
AccuRev is very time-sensitive. As a result, any client that is not within 5 seconds of the server time, AccuRev will complain. The Linux VM will lose time unless you install the vmware tools and check the "sync host time" checkbox. Doing this will help keep the VM client in sync.
