NOTE: This article only applies to AccuRev's old licensing methodology that used the "keys.txt" license file.
The following error message is returned when trying to add a new user to AccuRev or starting the AccuRev browser:
"No more licenses available. You need to either purchase more licenses
or remove an active user with 'accurev remove user'. "
Below is a list of information that should be gathered to troubleshoot the problem.
1. accurev info
2. accurev show -fv users
3. keys.txt file
From the data gathered above, verify:
1. The server_name entry from the 'accurev info' output matches the name of the server listed in the keys.txt file.
2. The amount of "full" users from the 'accurev show -fv users' command does not exceed the amount of AccuRev licenses specified in the keys.txt file.
We have also seen this error message when a new user installs AccuRev on a client system but performs a "Full" installation of AccuRev instead of "Client". Thus they were pointing to an invalid license key.
