Eliminate Bottlenecks and Save Time and Costs with Service Virtualization for Mobile Devices
Since the LeanFT 14.52 release, Service Virtualization (SV) capabilities has been embedded as a core feature. But now, with UFT Developer 15.0, embedded SV takes a huge step forward and now supports the mobile use-case as well.
Here’s how UFT Developer 15.0’s newly embedded SV for Mobile Devices works. Mobile applications typically consist of two parts: 1) a native or HTML-based front-end, and 2) back-end services, which can be remote Bluetooth or NFC devices, such as GPS Watches or a smart door locking mechanism. But since the front-end heavily depends on those remote devices, if the remote device is not accessible or is under development, then it is difficult—if not impossible—to continue testing the front-end.
So rather than paying for expensive devices or sustaining delays, with the newly embedded SV capabilities of UFT Mobile (Mobile Center) in UFT Developer 15.0, remote devices are no longer a bottleneck for developers and testers. Now, a developers and testers can simply simulate these key services and remote devices and avoid altogether waiting for the services and remote devices to be ready. This can result in significant savings in both time and costs. Also, since using SV with UFT Developer is as simple as recording a test case, user adoption increases as well.
