I have installed Remote Agent on Red Hat Linux 7.0 or 6.2 and it works just fine. I upgraded to Red Hat 7.1 and now I get errors.
I have just installed Remote Agent 2.1 on Red Hat 7.1 and I get errors:
 15280[ username@machinename bin]$ /usr/Compuware/DPRA/bin/./../jre/bin/java: /usr/bin/cut: No such file or directory
/usr/Compuware/DPRA/jre/bin/i386/native_threads/java: error while loading shared libraries: libjvm.so: cannot load shared object file: No such file or directory
 Exit 127./dpagent
The error only appears to occur in the newer Linux 2.4x kernel. The old(er) Linux 2.2x kernel versions of Red Hat (6.2, 7.0) don't seem to have this issue. It appears that the jre that installs with the DevParner Remote Agent has some sort of compatiblility issue with the new(er) Linux 2.4x kernel. It will have to be verified with Sun Microsystems, as the Sun JRE is shipped with same. There is a workaround:
After this , go to the command prompt and type dpagent. The RemoteAgent will now launch , providing you have it in your path statement.
