I noticed that the DA console could not contact the DARA machine unless both machines were logged in to the same domain. Is this a requirement of this product, or is there some sort of configuration that we may have missed? In the test that we ran, the console was logged in to FHDOM3. The DARA machine was connected to the LAN, but it did not belong to FHDOM3 (it was a test partition on my PC). We could ping the DARA PC from the DA console, but we could not add it as a host. Once we added the DARA PC to the domain, we were able to connect.
The DARA machine needs to be in a domain that was "trusted" by FHDOM3. As DARA uses RPC to communicate between the machines some sort of trust relationship will have to be established between the two.
