Problem:

What can I do to fix BoundsChecker when I see this error?

BC Workspce Item::OnInjectorEvent () FAIL-message ID = 2 (bad signature)

Resolution:

Applies only to version 8.1 of  BoundsChecker/Error Detection.

Disable or exit all backup and mirroring utilities (e.g. IBM's Rapid Restore Ultra, Maxtor's One-Touch Backup...) and virus scanners (e.g. MacAfee, Norton ...) before trying to run Bounds Checker.

Exit all Compuware products and perform the following as Administrator.

--Download the zip file from the link below

ftp://ftp.compuware.com/pub/devpartner/outgoing/bcyb/DPInject.zip

-- Rename your dpinject.sys file to dpinject.sys.original

-- Place the dpinject.sys from the zip in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Compuware

MShared\Injector\2.10.  (If C: is not your Compuware installation root, change it to reflect your installation.)

-- Reboot machine

-- See if the message is resolved

Restore all backup and mirroring utilities (e.g. IBM's Rapid Restore Ultra, Maxtor's One-Touch Backup...) and virus scanners (e.g. MacAfee, Norton ...) and try to run Bounds Checker again.
