Problem:

How to start a server using the nmshell commadline utility

Resolution:

Below example will be for standalone oc4j app server.

1. From the command prompt:

cd C:\oracle\OC4J\j2ee\home - this is where i have my oc4j.jar file which starts oc4j app server.

2. From there type:

nmshell -mem -config demo1

3. It will open new shell and type:

java -jar oc4j.jar

4. It will open DPJ ui and you can see active session running under 'Active Seeion' tab.
