Windows formatted text files cause problems for DPJ coverage on Linux

Problem:

Coverage line information recorded incorrectly on Linux

Resolution:

When you view a Coverage session file on Linux, DevPartner Java Edition displays all classes that were profiled; however, classes known to have incomplete coverage may appear as 0 Lines Not Covered.

A possible reason is that compiling Windows-generated source files (those with Windows EOLs) with a Linux compiler reports all instructions as existing on the same line of code.

You can correct this problem by running a utility such as dos2unix against your source files to convert the format to UNIX EOLs. Recompile your application and run again under DevPartner Java Edition to regenerate the session data.
