Alarm Events

Problem:

Does the Alarm event "COM left inititialized" mean that the object was not set to nothing (VB terminology) ?

Resolution:

No. It means that a thread that initialized the COM library (via CoInitialize() or its relatives) ended uninitializing the COM library (via CoUninitialize() or its relatives). The Win32 SDK states: "To close the COM library gracefully, each successful call to CoInitialize or CoInitializeEx, including those that return S_FALSE, must be balanced by a corresponding call to CoUninitialize."
