Can not start New SecurityChecker Session when opening Visual Studio .NET

Problem:

Why can't I start a "New SecurityChecker Session" when I open Visual Studio .NET?

Resolution:

This article pertains to all versions of DevPartner Security Checker.

You must have an ASP.NET solution open in Visual Studio .NET in order to start a SecurityChecker session. If you do not have an active ASP.NET solution, or if you do not have any solution open in Visual Studio .NET, SecurityChecker will be disabled.

(Visual Studio.NET references both 2003 and 2005)
