Detecting Memory Leaks With FailSafe

How to detect memory leaks with FailSafe

FailSafe has an added feature that after instrumenting your project with FS, you can trace and profile it for finding average memory used in each procedure or function. From there you can graph it over time and see if there are memory problems. However this is not particularly useful for 32-bit systems due to newer memory management. It was designed mostly for 16-bit applications on Windows 3.x in VB3 or VB4. SmartCheck is our 32-bit memory leak tool that can find such errors as memory allocation conflict, memory leaks, etc. Your VB project must be set to compile to native code, create symbolic debug info, and no optimization. It will work in the background supplying information about your project.
