Description of ActiveCheck and FinalCheck (and instrumenting your application.)

Problem:

Please explain the connection between "Instrumented Builds" and "FinalCheck".  Aren't these the same thing?  (In 6.0, the BoundsChecker drop-down menu has "Instrumented Builds", and there's a "Final Check" in the BoundsChecker toolbar, but the buttons seem to be wired to the same feature.)

Resolution:

When you use BoundsChecker to debug (within BoundsChecker stand-alone or the VC IDE) an executable that has been built with BoundsChecker's instrumentation, you are using FinalCheck. Any time you're checking an application that has not been instrumented, you are using ActiveCheck. The use of instrumented code is the significant difference between the two. (ActiveCheck is available in all BoundsChecker products.)
