SoftICE compatibility with Matrox G400

0 Likes

Problem:

Does SoftICE support the new Matrox G400?

Resolution:

Here are the steps to get the Matrox card working with SoftICE:

1. Create a reg_sz under the ntice service key called 'InstalledDisplayDrivers' give this a value 'G400D'.  If you are only running ntice as a boot/system driver this should be all you need.

2. If you want to run it in automatic/manual mode, you need to also do this:

Go to the g400 service key.  Underneath this is there is a Device0 key.  Underneath this create a reg_multi_sz called 'InstalledDisplayDrivers' and here enter 'g400d'

Or, you can use the following reg file:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

Tice]

"InstalledDisplayDrivers"="G400D"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\G400\Device0]

"InstalledDisplayDrivers"="G400D"
