Protocol Advisor always shows TruClient IE

Protocol Advisor always shows TruClient IE  even when we try to analyse HTTP protocol script.

Any suggestion?

  • Hello apv03.

Protocol advisor might not be understanding your application's traffic.

What technology/protocols does it use? Is it an HTTPS site?

If you know what Protocol your application uses, you can try to use that Protocol for recording purposes directly. In this case, you could try using Web HTTP Protocol, Web Services, etc.

TruClient IE Protocol will work nicely if your application runs in the Internet Explorer Browser Standard Mode. This is a Protocol based in User Interface Interaction, so the technology involved might not matter. There are some limitations, but you can also give it a try.

  • Is it a regular Web site? If so, you'll most likely want to use the classic http/html or TC. Each has some advantages and disadvantages.

TC is great because there's no correlation. But it doesn't work with everything, and uses a ton of CPU and RAM for vusers.

  • Yes, my team was using a regular HTTP protocol site.

When I try to open TrueClient IE and start recording VuGen 12.02 crashed. Attached Screenshot

I did launched VuGen "Run as Administrator" mode
