ER: LDAP with Latin characters

Status : New Idea

In UFTMobile 3.50, you cannot add users to UFTM Server with non-English characters, such as accents "à", "é" and special characters like "ñ" and "ç".

We cannot add our spanish partners in UFTMobile due to this codification problem, as some of them have names and last names with accents and special characters as said before.

I request to resolve this problem.

  • This issue was raised in support ticket SD02881127. Only English characters are supported for UFTM username and password with dots, hyphens and underscores permitted.

If LDAP username has non-supported character, the UFTM database incorrectly parses the characters and any attempt to login reports Error 2000.
