Why when I try to download my edited report template to Excel do I get error "Unable to read File"?

ANSWER
----------------------------------

A possible reason for this error is if you have changed the Borland logo to an image of your choice which is not one of the supported file types: gif, png or jpg. In this Excel template I have changed the Borland logo to a larger version in the file format of .bmp

Large bmp logo

Then I uploaded the template to SCTM and selected it as a template for a report. Then when I click on the link to download the report in Excel format I get the following error message when Excel opens:

Unable to read file

Upon clicking on OK this message is then displayed:

error message

Upon clicking "Yes" I get notification that the Excel file has been repaired and unreadable content has been removed.

Repair message

Then when the Excel spreadsheet is opened there is no report displayed.

No Report

The best way to resolve this issue is to use one of the supported file types for images in the report templates: gif, png or jpg.
