Problem:

Where does the overview report data come from when a SilkPerformer loadtest is executed by SCTM?

Resolution:

When automating a SilkPerformer test to run from within SilkCentral Test Manager (SCTM), SilkPerformer agents will host the virtual users which are run during the test.

SCTM is used to schedule the tests and invokes the replay engine, and the test will be run via the SilkPerformer agents in the usual way. After the test has completed, the results will then be passed to and stored within the SCTM database.

The actual metrics in the Overview Report cannot be called directly from the database. The TSD files used to generate the report are stored in the TM_ResultsFiles table in the database, and cannot be queried or changed.

The SilkPerformer results files are generated in the normal way by SilkPerformer, as SCTM runs the tests on SilkPerformer agents.

You can also download the results from a test run when the run has completed by looking under TEST MANAGER | TEST PLAN | RUNS.
