Why do I get the error "Replet Error Report: Requirement Progress could not be generated for the following reason: inetsoft.sree.RepletException: java.lang.NullPointerException" when running reports?

Resolution:

The error is generated because the report server is not up-to-date or believes that it is in use by another application and therefore cannot run reports. To resolve the problem you need to:

  • Deactivate your report server in the administration console of TestManager. Go to Administration | System | Report Server and select the active icon in the status field.
  • Confirm that you would like to deactivate the server
  • Stop the Report Server in SilkCentral Service Manager (icon in system tray of report server machine).
  • Delete the reportserver.txt file which is located in the directory*\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Segue\SCC30
  • Now restart the Report Server

*Note that the Application Data folder is a hidden folder by default, therefore you need to change your folder options to view it. If you continue to see the behavior after making the changes please contact Support.
