How can I modify the subject the email notifications received via SilkCentral Issue Manager?

This was introduced SilkCentral Issue Manager 4.0. It is now possible to enhance the email subject users will receive when an email trigger is activated. To enhance the subject you can add the following tags:

  • {ID} To add the defect id to the subject.
  • {PROD} To add the product
  • {PROJ} To add the project name
  • {USER} To add the user who modified the issue
  • {RULE} To add rule that triggered the notification
  • {SYN} To add the synopsis from the defect entered


To use this new feature you need to go to the follow menu:
ISSUE MANAGER | CONFIGURATION | SYSTEM WIDE TRIGGERS
Then add whichever tags you like the trigger to retrieve from the defect as shown in the following example:



Once triggered this will send an email similar to:
