Problem:

Why does SCTM not update the status of Data-Driven test definition after last run?

Resolution:

When performing a Data-Driven (DD) testcase in SilkCentral Test Manager 2007, the Test Definition status does not update with the results from a DD test run, instead the results status displays the default wildcard "---"

For Example:

DD Test run with status "Passed"

Although for "Each data row as its own test specification" selected when configuring the data source, only thetest specification wild-card is displayed with "---" in the statusfield, i.e. nothing is displayed for this case.

Again, from Requirements | Assigned Test Definition, we can confirm that the incorrect status is displayed.

This issue is resolved in SilkCentral Test Manager 2008, therefore, upgrading to the latest version of SilkCentral Test Manager will resolve this issue.
