Problem:

Why am I unable to change the Control Type in any of my "Standard Issue Fields"?

The ‘Standard Issue fields’ in SilkCentral Issue Manager do not have the same level of customization options as custom user defined fields. As such, while you will be able to modify the field name, you will not be able to modify the ‘Control Type’ of the Standard Issue Fields. The ‘Control Type’ options will only be available when creating user-defined fields:





























Please note: The options to specify if the field is required, and also set group permissions is not available for the ‘Issue Type’ and ‘Product’ fields; the others will allow you to change the other options except the ‘Control Type’.
