When trying to import 3.x data into my SCIM 2006R2 project, how do I resolve the error "An unknown error occurred..."?

If you see this error when trying to import SilkCentral Issue
Manager 3.x data into a SilkCentral Issue Manager 2006R2 project
then you should review the FrontEnd Server log:
ADMINISTRATION | REPORTS | FRONT-END SERVER LOG | FrontendServer.log
If the following message appears in this log you should apply
hotfix "SCTM85_Hotfix_06" and try the import again:
"continue import java.sql.SQLException: rollback() should not be called while in auto-commit mode."
This Hotfix enables Issue Manager 3.x database imports even if
Users, Groups, Products etc. already exist in the target
database.
