To overcome this problem you will need to kill the process for the SilkCentral Service manager and then restart the SilkCentral Service Manager, to do this do the following:

  • Right click on your menu bar and select "Task Manager"
  • In the Windows Task Manager go to the "Processes" tab
  • Click on SccSvcManager.exe and select "End Process".
  • Go to Start -> Programs -> Borland -> SilkCentral -> Administration Tools -> SilkCentral Service Manager , This will start the SilkCentral Service Manager and the icon should now appear in the System Tray.
