In SilkCentral Test Manager when you are creating a new Test Container (in SCTM 8.0 and SCTM 8.1) you will notice a "SilkTest Interface" option:

Solution

This can only be used with SilkTest 7.6.1 and not other previous SilkTest versions. If you run older versions of SilkTest this is when you receive the error message: "Unable to locate thick client". You must upgrade to SilkTest 7.6.1
