This feature provides and easy-to-use process for importing test requirements and manual definitions from Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to SilkCentral Test Manager 8.0

Note 1: You need administrative privileges to install this software.

Note 2: You must have 50MB disk space available to install these applications.

Note 3: To run the Office Import applications, you must have the .Net Framework, version 1.1 installed.


To install the Import Requirements and Manual Test Import applications follow the steps below:


  1. In Test Manager, navigate to Tools in the Help section.

  2. Click the Test Manager 8.0 Office Import link to begin the install process.

  3. Click Next on the Welcome dialog.

  4. On the Select Installation Folder dialog, accept the default installation folder, or click Browse to select another folder. To verify whether there is sufficient disk space on your drives, click Disk Cost.

  5. At the bottom of the dialog, indicate whether or not you want this application to be available to you or everyone who uses this computer, then click Next.

  6. On the Confirm Installation dialog, click Next to being the installation.

  7. The Installation Complete message appears when the installation is finished. Click Close.
