Problem:
When uploading tests results from Manual Testing Client to SilkCentral Test Manager an Oracle ORA 12899 error occurred while uploading the package. See screenshot below:
Resolution:
This is an Oracle error code and indicates that an attempt was made to insert or update a column with a value which is too wide for the width of the destination column.
TM_ResultFiles.FileExtension column has a maximum value of 20. See below:
If attempting to upload an attachment that had extension length that exceeded this, the error may have occurred. In the above error example this would have been 22.
To resolve, execute the package again and attach files that have an extension of fewer than 20 characters.
