How can I decrease the memory consumption of IE when running SilkCentral Test Manager?

The release of SilkCentral Test Manager (SCTM) 2011 Hotfix 12 contains a number of fixes and enhancements. One of the key enhancements includes a reduction in the memory utilization of SCTM when running in the Internet Explorer browser. It works by using optimized ExtJs and JavaScript functionality to perform operations in IE and end users should observe a significant reduction in memory usage within Internet Explorer while running SCTM.

It is also very important to note, that after installing Hotfix 12 (as detailed in the ReadMe) all browser users will have to either delete their browser cache or press “CTRL F5” within Internet Explorer in order for the newly modified ExtJS/JavaScript code to be loaded.
