What are the hardware and software requirements for installing SilkCentral Test Manager 8.0?

For optimal performance of SilkCentral Test Manager, we recommend the following configuration:

Server requirements:

(for each: database server, application server, frontend server, report server, execution server, chart server)

Operating Systems:

• Windows 2000 (Service Pack 2),
• Windows XP (Service Pack 1 or higher),
• Windows 2003.

  Only the Test Manager Execution Server is supported for Windows NT 4.0, and you must have Service Pack 6A installed. Note that for Windows NT 4.0, SilkTest 7.5 also requires Service Pack 6A.

Hardware: Pentium 800Mhz processor or higher
Memory: 512 Mb of RAM required, 1024 Mb or more recommended
Database: SQL Server version 7.0 or higher
Hard Disk: at least 2 GB free space with MSDE
Browsers: Internet Explorer version 5.x or higher
