ANSWER
----------------------------------

SilkCentral Test Manager creates the following log files for use in debugging problems:

  • Tomcat.FrontendServer
  • Tomcat.ChartServer
  • Tomcat.AppServer
  • SynchLog.log
  • RemoteSilkTestControllerProvider
  • Launcher.FrontendServer.StdOutput
  • Launcher.FrontendServer.StdError
  • Launcher.FrontendServer
  • Launcher.ExecServer.StdOutput
  • Launcher.ExecServer.StdError
  • Launcher.ExecServer
  • Launcher.ChartServer.StdOutput
  • Launcher.ChartServer.StdError
  • Launcher.ChartServe
  • Launcher.AppServer.StdOutput
  • Launcher.AppServer.StdError
  • Launcher.AppServer
  • FrontendServer
  • ExecServer
  • ChartServer
  • AppServer

These files can be found in log folder of the SCC3x folder which is created when you install SilkCentral Test Manager. This folder will be created in the following directory by default: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Borland

The log folder will contain the current log files and all previously created versions of each log file.

When trying to investigate an error within SilkCentral Test Manager please refer to these log files and provide them to technical support when logging an issue - as this will speed up troubleshooting of the problem.
