Resolution:

QUESTION

Why does my Test Definition continue show a status of "Not Executed" even though all assigned Execution Definitions have a status of passed?

ANSWER

This behaviour can be caused if you performed a "Try Run Test Definition" to execute your Test Definition at some stage and it returned with a status of "Not Executed". Under the "Runs" tab for the Test Definition you may find a run where the execution has a name of "Unassigned Tests" and it will also have been executed with the same version and build number as your Execution Definitions.

Simply run the Test Definition as "Try Run Test Definition" and the result of this "Unassigned Tests" will then override the previous "Not Executed" status.
