Problem:

What level of user account privileges do I need to run SilkTest scripts on an Execution Server?

Resolution:

You will need to ensure that all testers who are running SilkTest scripts on your execution servers are logged in with Administrator privileges. This has always been a requirement for running SilkTest as it is able to make calls at the system level e.g. to read and write to the Registry.

If executing SilkTest scripts is not a requirement of the current user then a lower level of access can be given but the exact access rights will then depend on what your user is required to do within Test Manager.
