Problem:

Is there a SilkCentral Test Manager report to display the latest SilkPerformer results from a given SilkPerformer test definition?

Resolution:

SilkCentral Test Manager 2008 not only executes SilkPerformer scripts but also parses the result files and stores them in the database.

This basic report will present the latest SilkPerformer results from a given SilkPerformer test definition.

Create a new report on SCTM and use the following SQL:

SELECT perfReport.*, perfMeasures.*

FROM RTM_V_LatestTestDefExecResults as execRuns

INNER JOIN TM_PerformerResults AS perfRes ON (perfRes.TestDefExecID_pk_fk = execRuns.TestDefExecID)
INNER JOIN TM_PerfReport AS perfReport ON (perfReport.ReportID_pk = perfRes.PerfReportID_fk)
INNER JOIN TM_PerfReportMeasure AS perfMeasures ON (perfMeasures.UserTypeID_fk = perfReport.ReportID_pk)

WHERE execRuns.TestDefName = ${testDefName | "PetStore Find Fish" | Test Definition Name}

Then upload the attached BIRT template (LatestResultforPerfTestDefinition.rptdesign) to your report.

Now all you have to do is create a SilkPerformer test definition, run it once and then use the test definition name as the parameter for your report.
