Why does creating a new issue throw a "HTTP 500 Servlet" and Java Exception error?
ANSWER

The above error message can occur when attempting to create a
new issue/defect after you have imported a database from an older
version of Issue Manager into Issue Manager version 4.0. The
problem occurs if prior to importing the database you have created
a custom field containing an empty/un-populated list.
A workaround is to remove the custom field after import; if the
list is empty then no data could have been entered for any issue in
this custom field.
This issue will be resolved in the next release of Issue
Manager.
