When I remove the Reporter column label is it removed permanently?

No, the Reporter column label found in:
ISSUE MANAGER | CONFIGURATION | INBOX VIEWS
is an alias for the database column "UserCreated". The
system default view displays this column with the label
"Reporter". When the column is removed the view changes
to a user specific view. To add the column to the view select
"UserCreated" from the list of available fields. When
re-added to the view the label is displayed as
"UserCreated". If you want the column to be shown as
"Reporter" again you can change the label by clicking the
entry for UserCreated in the column "Inbox Column
Label".
