When entering The SilkCentral Test Manager URL in the office import tool I receive the error: Invalid URL. Please enter a valid URL in the format http://server:port. The URL is of the correct format, how is this error resolved?

A possible reason for this error occuring when the URL is of the format stated is that you could be using an IIS (Internet Information Server) install of SilkCentral Test Manager. If SilkCentral Test Manager has been installed using IIS a port number is not required in the URL, the port is specified only when SilkCentral Test manager is installed using the Tomcat Server.

To verify if you are using IIS open SilkCentral Test Manager, if the URL does not contain a port number i.e.

http:///silk

IIS is being used. In this case the URL required for the office import tool is:

http://

not

http://:19120
