Why do I receive a "500 servlet exception" in Dependencies?

ANSWER
----------------------------------

After making a copy of a Project within SilkCentral Test Manager, then clicking on "Execution"/"Dependencies", an error "500 Servlet Exception" is generated.

E;OV;2006-07-26;14:54:01;SCC;tcpConnection-19121-1;unexpected exception java.lang.
NullPointerException at com.segue.tm.frontendserver.execution.html.detailsview.

If a project is copied and there is a dependency using the "specific" server/user option (the third option at the bottom), the assigned server/user is not copied into the new project. In consequence a Null Pointer Exception is raised when viewing dependencies. There will also be an error on the application server when executing such a dependency.

This issue will be resolved in later versions of SilkCentral Test Manager. The workaround is to change the "Specify Deployment" option to either "As specified in the dependent Execution Definition" or "Same as "Execution Definition"" before copying the project, then readjusting it to the correct setting after copying the project.
