The Manual Testing Client enables testers to manage their tests and track results without the need of an internet connection. The Manual Testing Client offers the core manual-test execution functionality that is offered directly in Test Manager, via a Windows-based client tool.

Processor: Pentium III/IV or equivalent CPU
RAM: 128MB
Network: TCP/IP

Software Requirements

Java: 5.0 (1.5.0 or higher)
Operating System:
- Windows 2000 SP 3 or higher
- Windows XP SP1 or higher
- Windows 2003

Installing the Manual Testing Client

  • Open the SilkCentral Test Manager 2006 R2 GUI. To do this go to Start, Programs, Borland, SilkCentral, Test Manager 2006 R2, Test Manager Home Page, and log in.

  • Go to Help > Tools and click on the Manual Testing Client link and download the file, see below:


  • Once the file is downloaded double click on ManualTestingClient.exe to launch the installation wizard. The screens below will appear.


    For "Next" to become enabled in the screen below you must enter a Company Name


    Installs to the default location


    Files are copied


    Screen will display here that shows the files installing
    Then you can select "Finish" to finish the installation


    You will now see the Manual Testing Client at Start, Programs, Borland, SilkCentral, Test Manager 2006 R2, Manual Testing Client
