Problem:

When attempting to start StarTeam all I get is the log on popup screen why is this?

Resolution:


  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: All
  • Product Component: Client
  • Platform/OS Version: N/A


This issue is most likely caused by the dual-monitor environment, which is yet not supported by StarTeam.

However this is an open change request with product management to provide the ability for StarTeam to work on dual monitors. This change request will be given consideration as a feature in a future release of the product.

  1. As a workaround follow the steps below:
  2. Go to START | CONTROL PANEL | DISPLAY
  3. Select SETTINGS
  4. Two monitors will be listed- select the other monitor
  5. Click APPLY.
  6. Restart the StarTeam server, the GUI will now show up on the second monitor.
  7. Drag the server GUI from this screen and drop on the main monitor
