Problem:

Why do I get the error "The specified cache directory is already in use" when adding a new hive in Hive Manager?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: 2005 R2
  • Product Component: StarTeam Server
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows

This error indicates that you have specified the same path for both the Cache and Archive folders. You need to specify different a different path for each as shown in the example below:
