The StarTeam client freezes unexpectedly on systems with Norton Personal Firewall installed

  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: ALL
  • Product Component: CPC
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows

There is a known issue with Norton Personal Firewall blocking the StarTeam cross platform client from accessing certain files. In order to ensure StarTeam functions correctly, add "Approved" entries in the firewall for the following files:

  • StarTeamCP.stjava
  • STToolbar.exe
  • .SBToolbarPort

With these files approved StarTeam should function as expected. If you continue to experience issues, please log a support case.
