Problem:

During 5.2 to 5.3 Upgrade, why do I receive stargate was not installed error when starting 5.3 server configuration?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: 5.3.192
  • Product Component: Server
  • Platform/OS Version: All

Description:
After an upgrade that requires installing version 5.3.192, you receive an error dialog "stargate was not installed" when starting the server configuration.



Answer/Solution:
You must reinstall the 5.3 SDK Runtime. Contact Borland Support and a Support Engineer will be able to provide you with the installer as it is no longer available for public download.
