I want to know how big the size of a project in my configuration. Is there is any tool available to for this purpose?


Answer/Solution:

Unfortunately there is no built-in feature available either in client or server to calculate the size of project in a configuration. However you can determine the project size indirectly.

1. Use StarTeam SDK API ( class com.starbase.starteam.File, method getSizeEx() ) to write a simple java program to go over all the revisions of all the files in a project to get the size of each file and then sum the value to get total size of project. This value is not 100% accurate but will give you approximate size of project.

2. Use StarTeam Import Export manager to export each project and then measure the size of exported content to know the size of that project.
