Problem:

If the size of a log file reaches maximum limit, does the newer log data get deleted ?

Resolution:

TeamInspector continues logging with the newest messages but the oldest messages may eventually be purged. This will depend on your log file settings Is it possible to change the default size for log files in TeamInspector?.

For example, we have a teaminspector-job.log file with the default settings of 100KB and 1 backup. When the log file reaches 100KB it will be renamed to have the extension teaminspector-job.log.1 and a new teaminspector-job.log file will be created to continue logging. S o the newest messages will be in teaminspector-job.log and the older ones will be in teaminspector-job.log.1. When teaminspector-job.log fills up again it will be renamed to teaminspector-job.log.1, what was in the prior teaminspector-job.log.1 file will be gone and a new teaminspector-job.log file will be created to continue logging.
