Adding or removing component access right hangs. What should I do?

Answer/Solution:
This behavior had been observed in 2005 R2 Cross Platform client with build number 8.0.0.82 and 8.0.0.86. It happens where there are groups that belong to another group. If you go to the component access right and add both the parent and the child groups, and hit apply, it will hang. If you open the task manager and kill the process, the component access right is saved. The same issue applies when you try to remove either the child or the parent group. This problem has been resolved in 2005 R2 CPC patch #14.
