Problem:

When upgrading a StarTeam server the SA account is requested.



Is it a requirement to use SQL authentication to connect StarTeam to a SQL database?

Resolution:

The screenshot above shows the dialogue box which appears when performing an "ACTIONS | UPGRADE". The SA account is required by the upgrade process when performing a StarTeam server upgrade.

The SA account is the default setting and is a non-editable field and as such is required to complete the upgrade process.

To connect StarTeam to a SQL server database for normal day-to-day usage any valid Authentication mode can be used so long as the user making the connection from the StarTeam Server to the StarTeam database is assigned the DBO role on the StarTeam database.
