Is it possible to run StarTeam with DB_DDLAdmin role?
Description:
Instead of using sa account or dba role in MS SQL
server, is it possible to run StarTeam with DB_DDLAdmin role?
Answer/Solution:
DB_DDLAdmin role is not sufficient enough to run the StarTeam
server. Infact StarTeam server fails to start with this role alone.
This role allows it"s members to issue DDL commands only.
Following are the requirements for SQL user to run StarTeam.
- The database should be owned by StarTeam user.
- The default database for the StarTeam user should be StarTeam
database.
