Problem:

What is the maximum value that the 'DataTransferRate' that can be set to in the MPXFileTransmitter.xml file?

Resolution:

The File transmission rate is in kbps (kilo bits per second).  The default is set to 256 kbps.

The allowable range is 64kbps - 4096 kbps.

This value should be set to the rate that the remote cache agent location can handle. Setting this value too high can cause timeouts for file transfers and result in poorly populated cache agents. So teh status of the cache agents should be monitored.

To check the status of an active Cache Agent:
  1. Open a browser
  2. Enter the url http://host:port/status

host - is the Cache Agent’s host name or IP address
port - is the inbound port for the cache agent

To check the log file of an active Cache Agent:

  1. Open a browser
  2. Enter the url http://host:port/log

host - is the Cache Agent’s host name or IP address
port - is the inbound port for the cache agent
